The humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) is a species of baleen whale. It is usually about 14 meters long and weighs on average 30 tons. The humpback whale can make spectacular jumps out of the water. Its pectoral fins are large unlike those of other cetaceans and its very elaborate song is also one of its characteristics. It lives in the oceans and seas of the world.

IMPORTANT: Whales are wild animals that live in a vast space, so we are not guaranteed to see them.

SERIAL DIVERS respects the legislation in force and in particular the decree R-2017-03-15-003 regulating the approach of cetaceans in the waters under French jurisdiction in the West Indies as well as the environmental code of Saint-Barthélemy and the decree of July 1st, 2011 fixing the list of the marine mammals protected on the national territory and the methods of their protection.
